Submission Grappling MMA

I have been training in submission grappling with The Martial Arts School RW for about 5 months. During this time I have taken part in classes and private 1 on 1 sessions. I have found the advice and instruction passed onto me by the teachers to be first class.

I find that I am always learning new techniques and am quickly picking up what is a complex martial art. I would thoroughly recommend the classes to anyone with an interest in submission fighting, wrestling or MMA.

The club offers a very high level of training and the atmosphere is always relaxed. Unlike other fight clubs I have been to, everyone is very social with one another and I find this to be a great benefit as a member of the club.

KICK BOXING

The Martial Arts School RW has given me the opportunity to train in several different disciplines all tailored to my own skills and ability. The club is welcoming and friendly with a good mix of male and female students. The teaching is excellent, as is the social life attached to training with the club.

This is the best club for MMA training in Berkshire. The club offers more options for training than other clubs I have seen, including high quality instruction in weapons, kung fu and kick boxing.

KICK BOXING

I have trained with Ross since I was 18, originally getting back into martial arts to protect myself on the ever aggressive ice hockey rink. The discipline assisted me with my overall fitness and balance and my confidence in confrontations within my sport increased. Somewehre along that line my focus shifted and the kickboxing began to be the area I was spending most of my time and effort.

The martial arts school is unique in it’s approach to martial arts. Whilst retaining traditional techniques and methods they have also embraced new training methods with superb results.

The school has grown considerably since I joined it. From having two or three kickboxers there is now a strong competition team of 10+ fighters who are equipping themselves brilliantly on the canvas.

I would urge people to try this club out regardless of any qualms that you may have. The class is run more like a workshop than a class which means you will be in smaller groups working at different paces in accordance to your goals and ability. You won’t be thrown straight into advanced techniques and your aims and goals will not be forgotten.

I have the privilege now of instructing under the clubs banner but am still constantly learning from Ross and improving lessons which I then pass onto other students.
